Rock Crosses Over to Recovery Help Like Glue
November 26, 2009
Electro-rock has nearly always been more rebellious, however that is evolving. There is this really cool synth-rock I came across by Matt Soren recently that has a new perspective on industrial rock music. His project is a mix of recovery music and the story of beating addiction.
There are some song previews at his website at www.returnfrombroken.com. It looks like the songs are raw versions while finishing mastered recordings. They sound high quality to me but I am no audiophile. It is cool to find more rock like this written particularly for addiction help in a more enjoyable way from someone that has already been through it and is making a difference for others. Also It’s nice to see this type of synth-rock stemming from the industrial outlet which is almost always more archaic in nature. Got to love that!
Oh yeah, he has free downloads you can get from his url and more in his members area which is all no charge. I also saw discounts, album art, and other things it looks like he’ll be adding. It will be nice to get the album once it is released. Good stuff!
